Bloods Still Too Low

Went into the Dunedin for Herceptin, Avastin and chemotherapy.  Had the Herceptin and Avastin, but not able to have the chemo because my blood levels were still too low.  I was very upset as the cancer had been getting worse again and I really needed the chemo.  It was agreed that we would try again on Tuesday.

Bloods still low on Tuesday and then again on Thursday.  I was getting more and more  distressed by it all.  The cancer was getting worse and my bloods were not getting any better.  We agreed that it was a side effect of the antibiotics I was taking.  As I was due my last tablet the following day, I would go for another blood test on Tuesday 6th May with a view to having chemo on Thursday 8th May.

Thankfully, my blood test on Tuesday was fine and I was able to have my long overdue chemotherapy on Thursday.
