Finding Someone to go to Germany With Me.

The last couple of days have been stressful because I really wanted to go to Germany to get the thermotherapy treatment but no-one was available to accompany me.  I was scared about going by myself as I had not fully recovered from the infection.  Because the cancer felt like it had exploded again, I really needed to go.  So yesterday morning I decided to go by myself.

That's when Amanda came to the rescue.  She told me that she would look after Mya if I wanted to take Simon with me.  We gave Mya the option.  If she said that she wanted Daddy to look after her I would go on my own, but if she was happy for Aunty Amanda to look after her then Simon would come with me.  I couldn't believe how quick she was to say that she wanted to stay with Aunty Amanda.  I'm so glad that she feels so comfortable with Amanda.  It really makes things a little easier for us in situations like this.

Because we booked the flights so late, the Easyjet tickets cost us £240 each.  That's double what I paid last time.

Simon and I arrived at the clinic and I went down immediately to have the thermotherapy treatment.  I was a bit nervous because I had panicked the last time I was in the machine.  I was determined to complete it this time.  It was tough, and I had a few wobbly moments, but I did it.  I was so proud of myself.

Back in my room, I felt really ill and slept the rest of the evening.  I think it was a combination of the thermotherapy, yesterday's chemotherapy and the fact that I was still getting over the infection.

Shared the transfer to the airport with a brother and sister from Canada.  They were going home after a three week stay at the clinic.  They were so positive about the treatment he had received and how much better he felt now than three weeks ago.  It was good to hear people talk so positively about the clinic.
