How Can I Help?
We will be holding a number of fund-raising events, mainly in and around the Reading area, where I live. You can help by supporting these events, hosting an event of your own or by making a donation. We are extremely grateful to receive every donation, regardless of size. While monetary donations are essential, donations in kind, whether services, goods or time are equally appreciated.
There are absolutely no administration costs, so every penny that is given to the campaign will go towards my treatment.

MAKE AN ONLINE DONATION
You can give online by making a bank transfer (BACS). If you send us an email at info@makemymummybetter.org.uk we will send you details of how you can do this. This is the best way to make an online donation as there are no charges.
You can give online using Just Giving. It can be done either by setting up your own fund-raising page if you are carrying out a sponsored event or you can give to one of the pages already set up.
You can make a donation to us straight from your credit or debit card. It's fast, secure, and you can increase the value of your gift by up to 28% with Gift Aid.

DONATING WITH GIFT AID
Under the Government's Gift Aid scheme, Friends Supporting Friends can reclaim the tax made on donations. This means that we can get an additional 28p for every £1 you donate, at no extra cost to you. So if you are a UK taxpayer, please print a copy of the Gift Aid Declaration form (PDF) and send it with your donation.
BUSINESS TAX BENEFITS
One of the best ways to give your business a good image in the community is to make charitable donations to worthy local causes. Helping out social causes can often help to increase employee morale; and make people think more positively about your business.
When a company makes a donation, it gets tax relief by deducting the amount given from profits and pays less corporation tax. In 2007/8 the main rate of corporation tax is 28%, and the rate for smaller companies is 19% (Rising to 22% in 2009).
A company can get a tax deduction for payments to sponsor charitable activities if they are also made for the purpose of the company.
