Saw Mr. Gui today. He removed a stitch that was stopping a little area on the left hand side from healing properly. Apart from that he felt that the surgery sites had all healed very well. He wasn’t concerned about the irritated area around the right breast but decided to biopsy it so that we knew once and for all whether it was cancerous.
He gave me local anesthetic and then took three punch biopsies. He said that he would call me with the results by the end of the week. Before we left he told me again that he felt that I didn’t have anything to worry about. He would be very surprised if the results came back positive. The pathology results after surgery showed a clear margin and he felt that was a good sign that all the cancerous cells had been removed. We felt really reassured when we left his consulting room.
