Went to see Mr. Gui today for my follow up appointment today. He was very pleased with how I was healing. He removed the dressings and decided not to replace them as they had caused a little irritation on my skin. Over the past few years I have developed an allergy to plasters and dressings. He had used a special dressing for very sensitive skin, but even that had caused some redness. He felt that the wounds had healed enough to leave them bare at this stage. This was very good news.
While I was at the London Clinic, I met up with the Breast Care Nurse to discuss silicone breast prosthesis. I am still a little sore to think about using them yet, but I will need to think about ordering some soon. I can’t believe how expensive they are. They cost approximately £300 for a pair.
The next stage is now to speak to my Oncologist to discuss treatment options. An appointment has been made to see him a week on Thursday. I also need to send my pathology report and PET scan results to The Leonardis Klinik to see what they think I should do next.
