Bloods Too Low Again

Bloods too low for chemo again.  Saw my UK Oncologist who was very pessimistic about my future.  I asked if I could change my chemo to Capcitabine and to see if I could get the new drug Tykerb.  Tykerb is supposed to be the new wonder drug.  It was only licensed to be used in the UK last Friday.  My Oncologist said he would write to the insurance company and see what could be done. 

We also decided that we needed to intervene with my bloods situation now.  I need chemo, so we need to boost my blood count.  He agreed to give me an injection of a drug called ‘ Nupogen’.  It helps your bone marrow to boost the blood count.  I had one injection today and would have the second injection on Saturday morning.
