Chemo Cycle 6 Day 1
Bloods still good. I am pleased. Had been feeling a bit coldy over the last few days so wasn't sure if my bloods would be ok.
Port is still bleeding, but not as sore as before, so we decided to use it today. It did work well. Very long and tiring day at the hospital.
When it came to cleaning the port site, we noticed that along with the bleeding it looked infected. So the nurse took swabs to be analysed again. We also noticed that one side of the wound looked like it was coming apart, so the nurse tried to pull it together with steri-strips. I hope these work. Don't fancy the idea of having to get it re-stitched. Also the longer it is open, the more likely it is to get infected.
