Bloods still very good so pleased that chemo went ahead today.
My port is still very sore and swollen. The nurses are concerned that it may be infected so swabs were taken to be analysed. I am finding it difficult and painful to move around, especially painful when sitting down or getting up. The Nurses, didn't feel comfortable using the port today as it look so inflamed, so I had to be canulated instead.
As it's such a long day at the hospital, my friend Lindsey came to keep me company for a while. It was nice having her there as it made the time pass quicker. Although, while she was there I had a reaction to the drug Manatol. I think the vein that had been used today was very thin, and didn't like the manatol. I had a sharp pain all the way up my arm. I think it gave Lindsey a bit of a fright. It got to the stage where it was becoming unbearable so the Nurse slowed down the flow of the drugs. This calmed it down, but it did take a few hours before the pain completely dissapeared.
