Had my last session with the Physiotherapist yesterday.  The pain and swelling had gone.  The physiotherapist felt that I didn’t need any more sessions for the moment.

Radiotherapy planning session at the Royal Berks Hospital today.  I am a little nervous as I remember how painful it was when I had the tattoos done before my last lot of radiotherapy.

Planning session went well.  Need to do more arm exercises as it was quite painful lying with my arms in the position required.  Tattoos did not hurt because they could use some of the old tattoos and the ones that needed to be done were done where my body was still numb from surgery, so didn’t feel a thing.

Spoke to my Oncologist about the inconclusive biopsy result.  He informed us that he had spoken at length with Mr Gui and they both agreed that we shouldn’t be too worried about it.  However, he said that the most sensible thing would be to treat it as if it is positive because of previous activity in that area.  He wasn’t though, sure of what treatment should be given because he was entering unchartered territory.  My case is very unusual - he didn’t have a treatment plan for someone who has had the type of breast cancer as I have, for as long, had as much chemo as me, had surgery at such a late stage and is doing so well.

We decided that it might be wise to seek an additional opinion from Dr Phil Ellis, the Oncologist who I saw pre-surgery in London.
